Nadal may have won Wimbledon but Federer won it for me

I’m not a sports fan but like every other Brit I tune in to watch Wimbledon every year. I try and catch the exciting matches, the ones full of drama and tension. My dad told me I only like the theatre of sport and I think he’s right. Calling yesterdays match dramatic would be an understatement. I loved watching it and that’s saying something coming from someone who hates sitting through hours of sport.

What struck me most about the game was the fashion. Federer definitely had the upper hand in the style stakes. I’m not a follower of mens' fashion but if boys start wearing cardigans like Federer I may just fall in love with them all. I liked the school boy look of it, like he was some cricket playing public school boy.

Reasons why Federer was fashionable

  • His hair is perfectly messy and looks gorgeous with a headband
  • His shirt was crisp and clean
  • His facial features are perfectly chiseled, setting off his outfit
  • He's tanned, but not too tanned
  • He proves you don't have to be muscly to be amazing
  • Gavin Rossdale (Gwen Stefani's husband) is a huge fan

So Federer may have lost to the sexy Spaniard but he proved to be stylish throughout the tournament and gracefully took second place (well, almost).
